Viking welcomes its new cruise ship from Fincantieri

Viking recibe a su nuevo crucero de la mano de Fincantieri

Viking received, from Fincantieri, its new cruise ship. It is the Viking Mars, which was built at the Ancona shipyard.

The vessel, like its sister ships, has the capacity to carry 930 passengers who can be accommodated in 465 cabins.

Viking Mars is the eighth ship in this class and has been designed by experienced naval architects and engineers, including an interior design team from Los Angeles-based Rottet Studios and London-based SMC Design.

In addition to staterooms with verandahs, the ship also features spacious suites with panoramic views, two swimming pools, one of which is infinity at the stern, abundant alfresco dining options and a spa designed according to the Scandinavian wellness philosophy, complete with sauna and snow grotto.

The Viking units were all built in accordance with the latest navigation standards and equipped with the most modern safety systems, including "safe return to port".

The vessels also feature energy-efficient engines, optimized hydrodynamics and hulls that reduce consumption, as well as systems that minimize exhaust gas pollution, in compliance with the strictest environmental regulations.
