Red parachute rocket

Long-range, day and nighttime distress signaling rocket. Designed to withstand exceptional environmental exposure and to operate reliably even after immersion in water. It features an improved grip for easy handling and complies with SOLAS 74/88 as amended. The rocket propels a red flare attached to a parachute up to 300 m and burns for 40 seconds. SOLAS requires 12 rockets to be carried on the bridge of ships and 4 rockets to be installed on life rafts and lifeboats. They are also used on pleasure craft.
